second half of our trip to Japan…
Factory visit no:4 was at Sanyo Homes Co Ltd, we got a warm welcome, and a fabulous farewell, when all, and I mean ALL the staff took time off, and waved us farewell!
Besides talking about materials, solutions, work-progress, way to produce a lot of time and effort was put in to figure out what the orange fruit tree on the facility was…
In English it’s called Loquat, click on the picture to find out all about this fruit!
Next visit was paid to Sekisui House (i’m not sure about the japanese pronunciation, but it sounds like Sexy house) and their showroom for customers. This was a R&D, test’n'evaluation, persuade-and-seduce ride for us and other visitors. Here we could see the proof, feel the security and fear the danger. It was a laboratory not unlike the one found in a swedish commercial for IF skadeförsäkring.
On the night this 25th of june, we celebrate our ninth wedding aniversery at a japanese steakhouse, Yakiniku, absolutely wonderful food with some strange pieces of course.

After checking out from our hotel on saturday morning, we went on a trip to see Nara, with the museum of national treasures, the Todaiji Temple and all the deers.

Now we’ve come to the end of the fun part of the trip, and into the hard-core business. The ISES and the Renewable Energy 2010 Conference. We stayed at a luxurious hotel, Pan Pacific, yet a hotel well passed it’s best-before-date. Reminded me of an old James bond movie, you could smell and feel 30 years of smoke in curtains, wallpaper and bed.
I will add a reference of the conference soon…
